Alexandre Le Hong, also known under the moniker
Alex Van Pelt, is a composer, singer-songwriter,
multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Paris, France.
He first started his musical journey in 2006 as part of the folk-rock / antifolk band Coming Soon, with whom
he gained solid stage experience opening for iconic bands such as MGMT and Fleet Foxes. This first adventure allowed him to discover the energy of live performance and refine his musical universe.
In 2011, he founded the electro-kraut duo Mont Analogue with his friend Ben Lupus. Through this project, he explored more synthetic and experimental soundscapes.
As a true musical laboratory, Mont Analogue is known for its prolific and eclectic discography : with collaboration with legend experimental guitarist
Jean François Pauvros and ambient music superstar
Ariel Kalma, the duo blends ambient and dance music altogether.
They also composed music for theater and contemporary dance pieces.
Alongside his group projects, Alexandre also made a name for himself as a live musician (collaborating with artists such as Adam Green, Norma, Ryder the Eagle, Sierra Manhattan and François Virot) and as a producer (Twin Blade, Leo Leonard, Mont Analogue, Alex Van Pelt).
Building on these diverse musical experiences, he embarked on a solo career under the name Alex Van Pelt and released four albums : Tum Tum (2019), Global Crush (2021), Off The Clock (2023), Cabin Fever (2025). In these works, he developed a refined and sensitive musical vocabulary, effortlessly combining synth pop and acoustic sounds, perfecting his craft album after album as a songwriter.
